By daylight, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are ordinary teenagers. But unbeknownst to their family and friends, the two of them carry a huge secret...using the powers of magical creatures called Kwami, they transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir! With a mission to protect the city of Paris from the evil Hawk Moth, the two of them must learn to cope with their new responsibilities, as well as ordinary troubles involving love, school, family, and friends. The second season premiere is scheduled for a global launch around September–November 2017 in Europe, At a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that the second season would have its North American release on Netflix in December 2017, with 13 episodes to be released. KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.
